Head of Consultancy

Rupert Syme

Rupert Syme is Chairman and Head of Educational Consultancy at Lionheart Education. His relationship with Lionheart began as a student, when the organisation supported his own education and school placement after he moved to the UK from the Turks & Caicos. That experience shaped his belief in the power of highly personalised education and ultimately led him back to Lionheart as a tutor, consultant and later Managing Director.

Today, Rupert specialises in creating bespoke educational strategies for young people with complex needs, including mental health difficulties, neurodevelopmental differences and disrupted educational journeys. His approach is multidisciplinary, bringing together academic, psychological and pastoral perspectives to understand each child’s strengths, challenges and long-term goals.

He holds a first-class degree in Psychology for Education from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from UCL. He is also a member of the Society for Research in Child Development and an affiliate member of the British Psychological Society.
