Exam boards we cover
We enter candidates with AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC and Cambridge International.
Lionheart School is a registered private exam centre in West London where external candidates can sit their examinations. We support GCSE, IGCSE and A-level candidates whether they are home educated, studying independently, resitting to improve their results, changing school at a critical point, or working to approved access arrangements.
Lionheart School is a JCQ and Cambridge Assessment International Education registered examination centre at Blythe Hall in West London. It operates as a school in its own right, which means candidates sit their papers in a genuine academic setting rather than a hired room, on the same national timetable as their peers across the country.
We handle the entry process on the candidate’s behalf: registration with the relevant board, identity verification, timetabling, invigilation and liaison with the exam board throughout. For families managing a move, a resit year or a home-education programme, that removes most of the administrative weight from the months before the summer series.
Exams can be sat in our quiet communal exam room or, where appropriate, in an individual study room. That flexibility lets us accommodate approved access arrangements and personal circumstances while remaining fully compliant with examination regulations and for students with anxiety, SEND or disrupted schooling, it can make a material difference to the result.
Our examinations team works to JCQ Access Arrangements. Any arrangement must be evidenced by the appropriate professional and agreed at the point of entry, when the statement of entry is issued, rather than requested close to the exam date. If arrangements are likely to be needed, raise them at the first conversation and we will tell you what evidence the board requires.

We do. Approved arrangements such as extra time, supervised rest breaks, a separate room or a reader can be put in place where the appropriate evidence is provided. Our examinations officer reviews the documentation and confirms the arrangements ahead of the exam date.
Deadlines vary by board and qualification, and entries for the summer series close several months in advance. We confirm the exact deadlines for your subjects at the initial consultation it is always worth getting in touch earlier than you think you need to.
Yes. We host resit candidates for any board and qualification we support, from a single subject through to a full set of papers. Maths, English and the sciences are the most commonly requested.
Some subjects have parts that aren’t a written paper. Modern languages have speaking and listening components, and a few subjects still carry coursework. These take arranging before entries go in, so tell us early if any of your subjects fall into that group.
