Our Approach

What you can expect from our programmes

At Lionheart School, education is never one-size-fits-all. We create individualised programmes that empower students, giving them the tools to become self-sufficient, confident and ambitious learners.

  • One-to-one

    Number 1

This will probably be the hardest your child will ever be required to work. The one-to-one lesson format ensures we keep the focus and attention of your child.

We know this is intensive and exhausting and so we ensure the majority of studying is done within the school.

The result is rapid progress, deeper understanding, and renewed confidence.

In addition, a curriculum manager always oversees a student’s daily programme, ensuring attainment and accountability.

  • The finest tutors

    Number 2

Our tutors bring not only subject expertise but also specialist knowledge.
Whether that expertise lies in learning differences, school entrance preparation, or supporting complex educational journeys, every child is matched with someone who understands their needs and can help them move forward with confidence.

  • Expert onward transitions

    Number 3

We combine tuition with strategic placement advice, helping families secure places at leading day and boarding schools, sixth forms, and universities.

Our goal is simple: that every student leaves Lionheart stronger, more assured, and aware of the potential they carry.

A Typical Day at LSL

What our students should expect

Our in-house chef serves a delicious breakfast for all the students whilst they read newspapers and magazines to keep up to date on news and world events. This is important for general knowledge and also for interviews at future schools.

This time is divided into three one-hour lessons with breaks. They are multisensory, interactive, fun and move precisely at the pace of the individual student at that time and on that day. Due to this, the speed of progress can be astonishing.

Lessons and private study sessions continue into the afternoon. Always bespoke, always one-to-one. A healthy afternoon snack is baked and served by our chef in the afternoon break to ensure that our students stay energised and are eager to learn.

LSL remains open into the evening for further lessons and private study sessions if needed and to allow the students to complete their homework in school, leaving their evenings free to relax at home and prepare for the following day.

Hear From Our Students

“What I loved most about Lionheart was that nothing felt rushed or overlooked. It’s quiet, it’s personal, and the tutors really pay attention to how you think. Being taught one-to-one made such a difference — I actually started enjoying lessons, and my results improved more in a few months than they had in years.”

Violet, Former Student

"After a period of bad mental health and dropping out of school, Lionheart gave me a safe place to restart. The one-to-one environment meant I could learn at my own pace without feeling judged. Within a year, I was able to find my confidence. I'm really grateful I had the opportunity to 'reset.'"

Year 9 student, now at Wellington College

"As someone with ADHD, I was struggling in big classrooms. At Lionheart, I learned how to manage my focus and believe in myself. It wasn’t just about passing exams — it was about finding confidence."
