Some students join us after a school placement has broken down. Others are too anxious to attend, are waiting for a suitable setting, or need a calmer environment while their EHCP or longer-term plan is resolved.
Our alternative provision is particularly suited to:
Students in Years 9–14 preparing for GCSEs, IGCSEs or A Levels but unable to access mainstream school.
Young people with mental health difficulties, school refusal or emotionally based school avoidance, who benefit from a gentle, relationship-led re-entry to learning.
Students with SEND or complex profiles requiring more individualisation, consistency and predictability than a typical classroom can provide.
Learners in transition — between schools, following exclusion, or awaiting a placement agreed with the local authority.
Some students attend for a short period as a bridge back into school or college. Others stay longer while completing key qualifications and preparing for their next stage.
What to Expect
Alternative provision only succeeds when everyone involved is aligned. We work closely with families, schools, therapists and local authorities to ensure each student receives consistent, joined-up support.
Families receive regular updates on progress, attendance, curriculum and wellbeing, with a single point of contact overseeing the programme.
We liaise with SENCOs, pastoral teams, clinical professionals and caseworkers to ensure that teaching, therapeutic work and reintegration plans remain coherent.
If a student has an EHCP, we map daily teaching to agreed outcomes — ensuring support is appropriate, evidence-based, and grounded in the student’s educational objectives.
For students preparing to return to school or move to a new setting, we build gradual, structured plans that give them the best possible chance of long-term success.
