We offer intensive academic courses during school holidays at Lionheart School London. All of our courses are completely bespoke and individually tailored. We analyse school reports and previous grades to ensure that each programme is designed to effectively target any areas of weakness.

These courses are designed to be highly efficient and, above all, to achieve impressive results

Students work with a variety of subject specialists throughout the course and timetables can be adapted if particular problem areas are identified during teaching.

Whilst some students come to us with gaps in subject knowledge and understanding, others have problems with exam technique or short term memory.

What does a course day look like?

Our courses are typically held at our school, where we can offer the focused environment and structure that help students make meaningful progress. Families may also choose to participate from home if preferred.

Students arrive

The students are welcomed by the team and settled in to their rooms. They can help themselves to a snack or drink, engage with other students and tutors and get themselves ready for their day.

Lunch

Lunch is designed to be engaging, entertaining and educational. All meals are freshly prepared in-house by our fantastic chef.

We allocate time every day around mealtimes for intelligent debate with other pupils and teachers. We create an atmosphere throughout the course which places academic success within a broader context with the aim of improving confidence and empowering students to succeed.

Afternoon tutorials

After lunch the students continue with a further two hours of one-to-one lessons, again with a 10 minute break, usually concentrating on a different subject than that covered in the morning.

Homework or consolidation

The students are given exam papers or questions to complete in the evenings. This is to consolidate the learning from the day and work from the results the following day. Students are able to use their study room for a further hour if they wish.

"Before the course, our daughter found timed work overwhelming. After just one week at Lionheart, her confidence had transformed. The tutors were warm, focused and incredibly skilled. She went back to school feeling proud of what she could do."

Emily R., Parent of Year 3 Student

“Our son is academically advanced and often bored in school. The enrichment course was exactly what he needed – philosophy seminars, advanced maths, and a stretch project that he later used for his scholarship application."

Tom & Sarah M.

“The 11+ revision course gave my son exactly the structure he needed. The tutors identified gaps we hadn’t seen and helped him master exam technique. He said it was the first time he felt ‘in control’ of the papers. He received offers from all four schools.”

Daniel S.

“Our twins completed a GCSE summer course covering Maths, Biology and English. The blend of one-to-one teaching with supervised study was exceptional. Their mock grades jumped significantly in September, and—more importantly—they rediscovered motivation.”

The Hasan Family

“As an international student, my daughter needed a sharp, focused programme to prepare for A Level resits and her UCAS application. Lionheart built a timetable around her goals and kept her accountable. She gained the grades she needed and secured her first-choice university.”

Frequently asked questions

  • Where do courses take place?

In-person courses run at Lionheart School (W14, London), a calm and well-resourced academic setting purpose-built for focused learning. Online options are available worldwide.

  • Can you help with exam technique as well as subject knowledge?

Yes. Technique is integral—timing, question selection, annotation strategies, planning methods, and exam-board expectations are embedded into every course.

  • How intensive are the courses?

This course is very different and far more exhausting than a school day. The high energy nature means that your child will be happy but shattered at the end of the day, so please do not plan any major family nights out during the week and ensure early bedtimes.

  • Are the courses suitable for students with SEND or mental-health considerations?

Yes. We frequently support students with ADHD, ASD, anxiety, dyslexia and other needs. Quiet spaces, predictable routines and specialist tutors allow us to adapt the programme accordingly.

  • Can students cover multiple subjects in one course?

Absolutely. Most students take 2–4 subjects, working with different specialists across the timetable. We design the schedule to ensure balance, momentum and consolidation time.

  • Do you offer both in-person and online courses?

Yes. Courses run at Lionheart School in London, online for international families, and in hybrid formats for those travelling. The academic structure remains the same across all formats.
